Guided Tours
Where do we meet ?
For all our tours or rental, we meet inside Avignon city walls, at our cycle shop. Find your guide 15min before the scheduled departure time. Don't be late, you are probably not the only ones.
For private tours, we meet at your convinience.
What if it rains ?
South Spirit Tours runs may it rain or shine. Avignon is charming in the rain and our bikes have no problem handling a few puddles! We also provide nice cyclist ponchos in case of rainy weather, and we ask that you dress according to the forecast.
What is your cancelation policy ?
We understand that unexpected things can change your plans. South Spirit Tours offers a full refund if you cancel more than 72hrs in advance before your scheduled tour.
No refunds are given for any reasons once within 72 hours prior to the start of your scheduled tour.
Please also note that our meeting times are absolute and that if you are late and miss the Meeting Time on your reservation we might not be there waiting for you.
Do you Accept credit card directly at your office?
Yes, we do accept credit cards in our office. We accept also AMEX.
We do accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express on our website. So, if you want to pay by card then all you have to do is pay online.
How many people in a group ?
All of our tours are limited to about 10 cyclists to ensure safety and higher quality time with your guide.
Are there any breaks during our tours?
All tours include a 20-30min break about halfway through the tour. Moreover all of the tours stop frequently in front of the monuments and the interesting areas of Avignon. So you’ll have lots of time to take pictures.
Do you offer private tours ?
Yes, we propose private tours of all our tours, then can be adpted to your selection. if your intersted contact us by e-mail.
Do I need to be fit ?
Our tours have been specially designed for people of all fitness levels. Old, young, round, or thin, we are happy to guide you on our tours through Avignon and surroundings. We ride at a leisurely pace and on flat ground 99% of the tour.
Do I need to reserve ?
Reservations are required for all our tours. You can reserve online without paying.
Can we start from another place ?
Yes, you can start from somewhere else if you book a Private tour. If you want to start from Villeneuve-lez-Avignon, Les Angles, or la Barthelasse but the only start possible inside Avignon is at our location
Are children welcomed ?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome to join any of our tours. However, we want you to know that our regular tour routes and the historical content which is shared by our guides, was prepared for an adult audience. So please consider how your child(en) behave(s) in a group with other adults before signing up on one of our regular group tours.
If you don't think your little one(s) will have enough stamina or interest in cycling around Avignon with so many adults then we encourage you to think about joining us on a private family tour! We suggest you contact us to book Private bike tour, free for children under 3, where your guide can tailor the route and information shared to be interesting for your whole family!
